Howard House Surgery and Haven Health in Felixstowe have multi-disciplinary teams who are serious about healthcare and achieving the best for all their patients but who like to work in a supportive and fun atmosphere. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible healthcare assistant to work in the community, alongside our current paramedic team, treating both Haven Health and Howard House patients. You will be expected to attend housebound patients and care homes, but also occasionally work in practice holding clinics. Full time or part time opportunities will be considered; however, flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness. You will work under the guidance and supervision of a registered healthcare professional and be accountable to the clinical team for their delegated tasks. You will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) while using initiative and sound judgment when providing care. You will also support other members of the primary healthcare team and contribute to the coordination and efficiency of practice activities. Main duties of the job: Treating both housebound and care home patients across 2 surgeries. Carry out health checks, management of long term conditions, vaccinations, blood tests, ECG's etc. Working closely with GP's and debriefing following visits. In addition to direct patient care, you will assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-equipped clinical environment, ensuring adherence to infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety policies. Participation in clinical audits, stock management, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
