Proposals & Business Support Coordinator

What You’ll Be Doing:
Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, your role will support day-to-day business functions and help drive performance across the company. Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting technical teams with operational and administrative tasks.
* Overseeing company certifications and completing pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), including audit preparation.
* Helping to maintain and update company policies and internal procedures.
* Preparing performance reports for the board, covering both financial and operational metrics.
* Managing onboarding for new hires and assisting with staff departures.
* Supporting business development activities, including bid support and client coordination.
* Carrying out day-to-day admin such as procurement, quotations, and document preparation.
* Gathering information for annual R&D tax relief submissions.
* Building strong working relationships with external stakeholders and clients.
* Assisting with marketing, PR, and content creation as needed.
* Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings.
* Jumping into other business support tasks as they come up.
What We’re Looking For:
* Confident user of Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Adaptable, quick to pick things up, and not fazed by a busy workload.
* Organised, deadline-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
* A basic grasp of business finance and comfortable working with numbers.
* Able to create and present performance-related reporting.
* Naturally outgoing, proactive, and client-focused.
* Capable of forming good relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
* A full driving licence is essential – occasional travel will be required.
Nice to Have:
* Prior marketing or communications experience.
* An understanding of the construction or engineering sector.
