Responsibilities
* Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
* Learning and using relevant design software and technology
* Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships
* Understanding and learning digital skills to help us harness technology in new ways
* Supporting academic study towards nationally recognised qualifications and accreditation
* Communicating technical information with others at all levels, including technical reports and the use of digital tools
* Following a methodical approach to engineering problem solving
* Establishing and reporting engineering design briefs
* Producing mechanical and electrical designs / drawings / sketches using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and manual systems
* Modelling real‑world mechanical systems efficiently
* Selecting the design solution for a given electro‑mechanical engineering application and environment using data to inform decisions
* Integrating electrical and mechanical engineering systems, considering new and emerging technologies
* Using appropriate equipment to develop and execute test plans to support electro‑mechanical product validation and approval
* Designing functional electronic systems and circuits from component level
* Writing and documenting structured programming code for electro‑mechanical systems
* Fabricating engineering components and assemblies using specialist manufacturing methods and hand‑fitting techniques
* Assembling, wiring, programming and testing electrical equipment, motors and control systems
* Planning, managing and leading engineering projects
* Performing risk management for engineering activities
* Complying with statutory and organisational safety requirements
Qualifications
* GCSE English (grade C/4) and Maths (grade C/4)
* A Level in any subject (grade A) or Maths (grade A, 144 UCAS points) or Physical Science (grade A)
