The role
As Lead Software Engineer, you will oversee the full software development lifecycle, including the design, planning, execution, and validation of the SkyNet 6 New Management System (NMS), ensuring alignment with the project delivery framework.
Collaborating closely with the Lead Systems Engineer, Lead Test Engineer, Quality Assurance Team, and Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering robust software solutions within tight deadlines across multiple project phases.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll collaborate within an Agile software team to develop and review software delivery plans, refine User Stories and contribute to the definition of Business and System Requirements. Responsibilities include:
1. Analysing data and tracking metrics to ensure that the solution is performing well.
2. Contributing to the team activities, including hands-on development.
3. Designing the product, updates and improvements.
4. Documenting and defining guidelines (e.g. Software Delivery Plan) for delivering the system.
5. Coordinating tasks among team members.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hawthorn, Corsham. Majority of the role can be remote.
Essential experience of the Lead Software Engineer:
6. You must have experience mentoring software engineers in a large team.
7. You must have hands-on experience with C#.
