Job Description
Our client, based in Leicester, is currently recruiting for a Data Protection Manager on a 6 month temporary contract.
The position is due to start in January on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on Legal or Social Housing, whilst being a Qualified Data Practitioner with plenty of experience in the sector.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) :
* Lead the Group’s ongoing compliance with the legal requirements of all data protection legislation across all core activities
* Appointed as the Group’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), including liaison, consultation and cooperation with the supervisory authority
* To lead on any internal / external audits that are undertaken on behalf of the Group in agreeing audit scope, supporting the audit process and requirements, and responding to findings and recommendations
* Act as lead on all matters pertaining to data protection right requests and ensure all Data Subject rights are correctly addressed in a timely and compliant fashion
Experience and Skills required :
* Qualified Data Protection Practitioner
* Experience working with external stakeholders and suppliers with regards to data protection compliance
