Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering exceptional dental services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for patient care.
Responsibilities
* Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining patient comfort.
* Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
* Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance.
* Ensure that the dental practice is clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols.
* Support the team in managing appointments and coordinating patient schedules.
Skills
* Strong IT skills for managing patient records and practice management software.
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication with patients and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
* Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the dental team.
* Previous experience as a dental nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
Work pattern
* Mondays 8:30am - 5:30pm (lunch 1-2)
* Wednesdays 8:30am - 5:30pm (lunch 1-2)
* Thursdays 8:30am - 5:30pm (lunch 1-2)
* Fridays 8:30am - 1:30pm
