Care Assistant (Days)
Location: Aaron House Care Home – Beeslack House, Edinburgh Road, Penicuik, Midlothian, EH26 0QF
Responsibilities
* Caring and supporting our residents in their journey with Aurem Care.
* Providing personal care, social support, and creating heart‑warming memories.
* Ensuring the needs of our residents are met through the use of our electronic care platform “Nourish”.
* Working within a committed team.
* Demonstrating positive caring values in all aspects of practice.
* Completing any ad‑hoc duties to meet service delivery for our residents.
Qualities and Qualifications
* Enthusiastic about providing care.
* Excellent values and compassion for supporting people.
* Experience is an advantage, but not necessary – full support and training will be provided.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, showing creativity and passion for the work.
* Great communication skills.
* Ability to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
* Engages well with people we support, encourages their continued interests and positive experiences.
We Offer You
* Day shifts on offer.
* Full or part‑time contracts available.
* Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour.
* Flexible hours (22, 33 or 44 hours per week, inclusive of weekend work – bank options available).
* Hours: 8am – 8pm.
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part‑time contracts).
