Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset team.

Responsibilities
* Assist in the introduction of new products to production.
* Work with engineering on design for manufacturability, testability, and manufacturing issues.
* Develop new manufacturing processes and build guides.
* Design and produce assembly jigs and fixtures.
* Layout manufacturing cells with all tooling and services.
* Suggest and implement improvements to current production processes.
* Investigate and solve manufacturing and quality problems.
* Identify new production methods and tooling and prototype tooling.
* Recommend improvements to existing manufacturing methods.
* Update existing build guides in line with improvements and engineering changes.
* Investigate faults identified by other departments and recommend action to prevent reoccurrence.
* Assist in factory layout moves.
* Leverage lean tools knowledge (5S, continuous improvement, etc).
* Support production across all manufacturing sites.
* Apply automation knowledge and support production in all manufacturing sites.
* Work alongside other engineering departments and take ownership of departmental projects.
* Ensure equipment is available, operational and safe to use.
Qualifications
* HNC/Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electronics engineering discipline.
* 8+ years of experience in a similar role in a low/medium/high volume electro‑mechanical manufacturing environment (less experience/other industry considered).
* Awareness of modern manufacturing philosophies and techniques.
* Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, SolidWorks).
* Knowledge of ERP systems.
* Hands‑on experience and knowledge of material processing processes.
* Basic pneumatics/hydraulics knowledge.
* Steady under pressure, organized, and a team player capable of working as part of a dynamic team.
* Good communication skills with all levels of staff across all departments.
