About the role…
Our business is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the team. Working closely with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery and all activity associated with the construction of a new fibre network utilising physical infrastructure access (PIA).
You will be responsible for ensuring Flex & Civils Crews are compliant, working efficiently, safely and delivering high quality workmanship.
As the Site Supervisor you will allocate tasks safely in accordance with legislation and Avove Procedures to contract specification and programme, while effectively supervising and delivering approved construction tasks to the agreed resource and programme timescales.
This role will be a site-based position, with jobs in all areas of the UK so lodging away will be required.
What will your day look like…
* Supervising sub-contractors, contract staff and direct labour for allocated site activities
* Ensuring that toolbox talks, task briefs and COSSH briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work for allocated contracts
* Responsibility for ordering and receipt of site deliverables, timely returns of goods receipts notices as instructed
* Accurate reporting of Spine & Build progress to the Operations Manager
* Ensuring that all engineers accreditations are kept up to date and relevant to job role
* Performing daily quality and safety checks on field teams
* Liaising with Local Authorities and attending site meetings with the client
* Performing post completion quality checks on completed works
About you…
* BT Open Reach accreditation for working on PIA (SA002 or SA006) as a minimum
* Supervisory Management training / qualification or equivalent with relevant and practical experience (desirable)
* Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook preferred
* Good understanding of NRSWA / Street works / SROH standards & compliance.
* Good understanding of Noticing / Permitting regulations / requirements
