We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated analytical Junior Technical Author to join our finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £25,000 to £30,000 per annum.

The Junior Technical Author Role
Do you have an interest in documentation and information creation? Do you enjoy working in an agile environment and being part of an innovative, collaborative team? We are looking for a Junior Technical Author to contribute to high-quality product documentation for our customers. You will work across various software products, taking ownership of producing and maintaining user guides, release notes, and product enhancements. You will collaborate closely with product, development, and support teams to create reference materials that clarify features and functionalities.
Joining our Service Management department, you will focus on customer needs and communicate effectively. The role involves creating and reviewing technical documentation tailored to diverse audiences, with a strong emphasis on continuous delivery, improvement, and meeting deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in creating and reviewing documentation or user-focused information.
* Understanding of software development and delivery processes.
* Ability to accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Strong collaboration skills with customers, development teams, and product owners.
* High-quality standards in user documentation.
* Knowledge of information design principles, including the use of graphics, language, and headings.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Customer-focused with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
Additional Skills (Beneficial)
* Experience with technical authoring tools like MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp.
* Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Experience working in software development or documenting APIs.
