Job Summary
To manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for overseeing all inventory-related activities, from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and discrepancy resolution.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse management system.
* Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Assist with any logistics queries or escalations where required
* Process incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders.
* Organise and store inventory efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
* Prepare and stage outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate action.
* Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
* Generate regular inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
* Ensure quality control is maintained throughout all processes where stock is handled.
* Requirement to ensure best practice and stock controls are followed and enforced in external locations (this may include visits)
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (if certified) (not essential).
* Any other reasonable logistics-related tasks, including involvement with project rollouts
* Knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
* Knowledge of transport or logistics operations
* Experience working in a transport environment
