Senior Clinical Trial Manager – Vaccinology Group
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to take part in the wide range of ongoing paediatric research activity primarily based within the Vaccinology Group at the Centre for Neonatal and Paediatric Infection. The CNPI undertakes a variety of projects and studies in children focusing on the epidemiology of vaccine‑preventable diseases, clinical vaccine trials, cohort studies, perinatal infections and optimisation of the best use of antimicrobials in children.
Responsibilities
You will co‑ordinate the activities of the Vaccinology team led by Prof Kirsty Le Doare and be responsible for project management, staff management, financial planning and reporting in consultation with the PI. You will work independently with minimum supervision and will be required to anticipate and resolve problems that may prove bottlenecks in the achievement of agreed milestone goals. You will demonstrate intellectual ability and a significant degree of creativity to devise varied solutions.
Person Specification
The post‑holder will have extensive clinical trial experience within an academic environment to support the diverse group in clinical trial management from project conception, ethics applications, conduct of trials through to close down and then subsequent data analysis.
Employment
This post is offered on a permanent contract, reflecting the University’s commitment to providing greater stability for research staff. The role is funded through external research funding, which is currently confirmed for 12 months. Continued employment in this role will therefore be subject to the continuation or replacement of funding.
