Recovery Navigator, Dependency & Recovery
Location: County Durham
Permanent- 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am-5pm one late evening till 7pm and one Saturday 9am-12pm every 3 month.
A new opportunity has arisen to be part of an exciting partnership as part of the Probation Dependency and Recovery service led by Ingeus. Dependency and Recovery services are tailored to the assessed individual needs of 18+ Male Service Users on community orders and post-release licences as part of the community Probation system.
The successful candidate will have a regional office location but will be expected to travel to other sites across region. The post will cover the County Durham area. Where possible a delivery location will be based closest to your home address.
Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
Act as Recovery Navigator delivering casework and interventions to provide resilience and flexibility. Recovery Navigators hold the professional relationship with the NPS Responsible Officer to support the Service Users dependency and recovery journey. Recovery Navigators provide intensive wrap around support to all Service Users on a one-to-one basis. Recovery Navigators work in an outcome focused environment which is achieved by bespoke case management, one-to-one support to assess health and lifestyle risks, building trust and undertaking activities and interventions delivered face-to-face. Recovery Navigators motivate Service Users to successfully understand and manage their dependency and recovery needs, to develop skills to change to a healthier lifestyle and to support engagement with treatment services. They will support Service Users in maintaining their motivation to change and engagement with their probation supervision. Recovery Navigators will work in partnership with Waythrough Senior Recovery Navigators, Waythrough Recovery Navigators/Co-ordinators, Recovery Guides, Recovery Champions (Peer Mentors), Team Managers, NPS Responsible Officers, IOMU and community support services.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band.
