About the Role and what you will be doing:

Are you highly organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a dedicated Civil Bid Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. • Developing project construction schedules and cost projections in collaboration with ourengineering and planning divisions.
  • Collaborating with internal departments including Quality, Logistics, H&S, and Environment to gather critical tender compliance data.
  • Analysing and comparing external supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure full alignment with tender specifications.
  • Attending client clarification meetings and managing post-submission technical queries through to a successful project handover.

Benefits:

  • 33 Days Annual Leave (25 days + 8 public holidays).
  • Competitive Pension Scheme, Sick Pay, and Healthcare.
  • Location: Hillington, Glasgow
  • Salary: £40-50k (DOE) & Car allowance
  • Contract: Full time, Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 Hours (8am - 5pm)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred (experience within construction or a CDM site environment is desirable).
  • A degree in Engineering (Civil).
  • Open to entry-level or individuals with a background in infrastructure, procurement, or planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and MS Project for complex calculations and project scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Spanish or other European languages (French, Italian, German, Portuguese) is desirable.
  • Strong analytical capacity to evaluate technical specifications and calculate precise structural cost estimations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to successfully manage multiple high-pressure bidding deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across engineering, safety, and commercial teams to coordinate compliance data.
  • Full flexibility to travel occasionally to client meetings and various project site locations as required.
