We are seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer to deliver high-impact technical solutions across complex and diverse environments. This is a hands-on contract role that blends deep technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will lead deployments, shape low-level designs, and act as a trusted technical authority for clients and internal teams. The role will involve ownership of technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving network and security challenges, and providing expert consultancy. In addition, you'll mentor colleagues, influence project outcomes, and play a key part in collaborative technical delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end project delivery, from design through to implementation Take full ownership of technical issues, ensuring thorough diagnosis and resolution Deliver project engineering services including low-level design, implementation, and consultancy Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents Troubleshoot and resolve network and security-related issues with precision and efficiency Mentor and support the development of other engineers Requirements: Minimum CCNP-level Cisco certification Proven experience deploying at least 5 of the following in a production environment: Cisco Routers (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) Cisco Switches (VTP, STP, VSS) Cisco Datacentre Switching (Nexus, VPC, VDC) Cisco Wireless Cisco Firewalls (ASA or Firepower) Cisco Voice/IPT Cisco SD-WAN Cisco ISE Cisco Meraki Palo Alto Firewalls Azure or AWS cloud environments Ability to obtain NPPV Security Clearance Contract Details: Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid) Contract: 6 months IR35: Outside IR35 Rate: £400-£450 Per Day Start Date: ASAP
