Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join a supportive and nurturing school in Sunderland, working with students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans.
* Use a range of strategies to support pupil engagement and progress.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management.
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with pupils.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
