Finance Assistant (Northeast or Yorkshire & East Midlands)

We offer a blend of home and office-based working arrangements, to support a healthy work‑life balance for all our staff. This will be a minimum of one day per week based either in Northeast or Yorkshire & East Midlands region.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week covering Monday to Friday

The focus of the role is to support key operational finance processes and provide reliable support and guidance across the organisation, ensuring timely, accurate financial services that enable colleagues to continue delivering stability and positive outcomes for children and young people.
Qualifications and Skills
* Comfortable with using percentages and other arithmetic tools as required for the role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial data
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
* Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records
* An ability to resolve queries effectively and communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance colleagues
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
* Experience of using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (or similar tools)
* An understanding of confidentiality and data protection in relation to financial information
* A proactive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn and support wider finance functions
