Onsite Occupational Health Advisor (OHA)
Location: Belfast (BT40 & BT12)
Salary: £35,173
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 4 days per week (onsite – 2 days per site)
We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to provide a comprehensive onsite service across two Belfast locations. This role will focus on case management, health surveillance, and workplace wellbeing, supporting employees and promoting a safe, healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management
* Manage a caseload including sickness absence, fitness for work, and return-to-work plans
* Conduct occupational health assessments (face-to-face and remote)
* Produce clear, concise reports with clinical recommendations
* Work closely with HR, line managers, and external providers
Health Surveillance
* Deliver health surveillance programmes (e.g. COSHH, HAVS, noise)
* Carry out audiometry, spirometry, and health screenings
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
* Monitor and report on health trends
Workplace Health & Wellbeing
* Conduct workplace risk and ergonomic assessments
* Support wellbeing initiatives (mental health, stress management)
* Provide advice on reducing workplace health risks
Compliance & Reporting
* Maintain accurate, confidential records
* Ensure services meet legal and professional standards
* Analyse absence trends and produce reports
Requirements
Essential:
* Registered Nurse with Occupational Health qualification (Diploma/Degree)
* Valid NMC registration (Part 1 or 3)
* Experience in Occupational Health, including case management and health surveillance
* Knowledge of UK legislation (Health & Safety, Equality Act, Data Protection)
* Strong report writing, communication, and IT skills
