Role Overview Are you passionate about driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Manufacturing Improvements Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing shop floor processes to ensure they are efficient, high-quality, repeatable, and well-documented. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting UK Supply by delivering engineered products through innovative and effective manufacturing solutions. Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On… Proactively identifying, evaluating, and implementing process improvements. Leading cross-functional projects to deliver manufacturing enhancements. Defining and developing manufacturing processes, including CNC programming. Specifying and procuring tools, workholding, and inspection equipment. Creating detailed work instructions and supporting new machine introductions. Providing engineering support for both existing processes and new product introductions (NPI). Driving Future Factory initiatives to ensure readiness for future demand. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, planning, and health & safety teams. Managing technical and commercial decisions related to manufacturing processes. Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include…. Extensive hands-on experience in a machine shop environment. Proven problem-solving capabilities and commercial awareness. Familiarity with MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office tools. A solid understanding of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) practices. Experience in production engineering, process planning, and CNC machining. Exposure to continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma or 5Y. A background in mechanical engineering, ideally with an HNC or equivalent qualification. Apprenticeship training in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
