Sizewell C needs a highly skilled Site Operations Incident Manager to coordinate construction site incidents, ensuring strict compliance with emergency arrangements and promoting industry-leading safety standards. Sizewell C is a landmark nuclear new build project, designed to power 6 million homes for 60 years while driving the UK toward Net Zero by 2050. The Role Reporting to the Site Operations Site Lead, you’ll be responsible for the management and coordination of construction site incidents and emergency responses, ensuring integration with security, contractor teams, and external emergency responders. Key Responsibilities: Lead, plan, and oversee site-wide incident and emergency response mechanisms Support SZC Emergency Preparedness Officers with off-site emergency planning and compliance Assist contractor partners in developing incident management plans that align with SZC’s emergency strategy Oversee risk assessments, training, and response equipment procurement Collaborate with security teams to maintain an efficient site-wide incident coordination hub Drive continuous improvement and learning in emergency preparedness protocols What We’re Looking For Essential Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of JESIP and C3/4 principles Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to translate complex activities into effective emergency arrangements Significant experience handling large-scale infrastructure projects Qualifications & Experience: Understanding of the Principal Contractor Role in civil engineering/infrastructure environments Proven track record in incident or emergency response coordination Desirable: Knowledge of COMAH sites JESIP certification Key Competencies: Leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills Self-starter and team player Strong written and verbal communication skills Passion for safety and high-quality project delivery Why Join Us?
