Job Description
The Operations Manager leads, directs, and controls the day-to-day activities of the Weymouth site, encompassing production, warehouse, purchasing and supply chain operations. The primary goal is to achieve financial and operational objectives, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead the Purchasing, Supply chain, Warehouse and Production operations.
2. Site leadership, communication, and coordination.
3. Plan and manage the manufacturing team to meet business plan objectives and quality standards.
4. Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure the company has the resource required to meet its objects within agreed financial parameters.
5. Manage the warehouse and supply chain to optimise lead times and service levels.
6. Ensure timely delivery of manufactured goods.
7. Ensure component inventory, output and regional hub on-hand stock according to customer demand and inventory targets.
8. Establish and maintain a capacity plan to ensure the factory Operations are capable of meeting forecast demand with burst capacity options. Be open to where that capacity is deployed geographically within the wider organisation to leverage tax/duty advantages and regional go to market speed.
