English Teacher
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: 13th April (after Easter)
Contract: Full-time, temporary until the end of the academic year
Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Teacher of English to cover a longer-term sickness absence from after the Easter break (13th April) through to the end of the academic year.
This is a full teaching role and requires an established QTS teacher confident working with mixed-ability KS3 classes.
The Role
Teach English to Years 8 and 9
Take responsibility for a Year 10 tutor group
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Mark and assess student work
Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour management
Work collaboratively within the English department
What We're Looking For
QTS (essential)
Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Confident teaching mixed-ability KS3 groups
Strong classroom and behaviour management
Able to commit full-time until the end of the academic year
