We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join our team at Dalkia UK. This full-time, permanent position is based in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
Job Purpose
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Fire & Security Systems.

Ensure adherence to Health and Safety at all times. Be responsive, cooperative, and achieve set tasks. Be part of a cohesive team providing high-quality service to the client.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Carry out PPM according to schedules, maintaining engineering standards for optimal system reliability.
* Adhere to engineering standards and Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Fire & Security Systems.
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
* Coordinate initial actions for client requests and liaise with specialist subcontractors.
* Respond to call outs, breakdowns, and emergencies.
* Diagnose faults related to PPM or reactive maintenance.
* Assist other trades as needed.
* Manage workload and prioritize jobs effectively.
* Provide work and equipment reports as required.
* Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by the client.
* Contribute to contract growth through system upgrades, replacements, and project work.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Relevant knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience include:
* Fire & Security Apprenticeship or recognized equivalent
* Health and Safety Training
* GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
* Experience in maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventative tasks
* Certification in fire alarms
* Experience with IP and analogue CCTV
* IPAF training and valid Chapter 8 ECS card
* City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent
* IT & Networking experience
* Potential supervisory experience for career development
