Role
We have an exciting opportunity as an Operational Technician in our Waste Water Recycling department. The role is to safely operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment at our Sewage Treatment works and Sewage Pumping Station sites across your patch. You’ll protect and enhance our region\'s environment, while providing an essential service to the community.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain equipment at Sewage Treatment works and Sewage Pumping Station sites.
* Ensure sites and assets are operated effectively, efficiently and safely by complying with statutory, company and treatment works policies and procedures.
* Work as part of a team of experts; contribute to continuous improvement and share ideas to improve day-to-day operations.
* Be available to support with on-call duties as required by business needs.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for people with a positive outlook and behaviours, who can work on their own initiative or in a team. We want problem solvers who seek ways to help us work more efficiently and effectively. You’ll need flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to changes. A full valid UK driving licence is required. Depending on experience, you may complete a technical skills bootcamp or Level 2 Water Process Operator apprenticeship delivered internally by our Academy. A caring attitude and willingness to engage with diverse communities are valued.
