What you will be doing
As a qualified Nurse, you will ensure people with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, support your colleagues, and promote positive teamwork.
The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good balance of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:
* Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
* Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
* Providing mentorship and support to team members
* Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided
Skills and knowledge you will have:
* A relevant nursing qualification
* NMC registration
* Strong teamwork skills
* A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
* A positive attitude and a naturally caring and compassionate nature
* A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice
Where you will be working:
Location: Bennett’s Lane, Widnes, Warrington, WA8 0GT
You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility providing care for men and women with complex mental health requirements.
The hospital is divided into four distinct areas:
* Male Autism Service for adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
* Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties
* Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex mental and physical health needs
* Low secure care setting for men with mental illness, with or without personality disorder/mild LD
You will work alongside the team to improve the mental health and wellbeing of service users and help them develop and maintain healthy relationships. Gateway Recovery Centre aims to reduce risk behaviors associated with mental health conditions so that patients can live successful and fulfilling lives within the community.
