Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager at Invision360, you will play an important role in supporting revenue growth and building strong client relationships, primarily within the local government sector. You will work as part of a collaborative sales team to help identify new opportunities, nurture leads, and contribute to ongoing business development efforts. This role is ideal for someone with experience in B2B sales—especially in SaaS or the public sector—who is confident managing a pipeline, delivering presentations, and supporting long-term partnerships. You’ll be responsible for engaging with prospects, understanding their needs, and demonstrating how Invision360’s solutions can deliver value. Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development:
* Contribute to the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the unique needs and challenges of local authorities.
* Identify key market segments, potential clients, and growth opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management:
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within local authorities.
* Understand clients' objectives, challenges, and pain points to tailor solutions that address their specific needs.
Business Development:
* Drive outbound sales efforts to prospect, engage, and convert new clients, leveraging a mix of cold outreach, networking, and relationship-building activities.
* Identify partnership opportunities, strategic alliances, and channels for expanding the company's reach within the local government sector.
Sales Process Optimisation:
* In collaboration with leadership, continually assess and refine sales processes, methodologies, and tools to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
* Implement best practices for pipeline management, lead generation, and conversion optimisation.
Market Analysis and Insights:
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics impacting the local government sector.
* Utilise market insights to inform product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven track record of success in sales roles within the SaaS industry, with a focus on selling to local government entities.
* Strong understanding of the local government procurement process, compliance requirements, and budgeting cycles.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at executive levels.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales initiatives.
* Results-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
* Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Hubspot), sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
