ROLE: Air Hygiene Operative
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Bristol - Need to travel in whole Southwest region

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Operative who will assist the Lead Engineer in delivering ventilation, ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease
2. Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19
3. Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW
4. Carry out inspection of the fire dampers in accordance with BS
5. Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed
6. Follow a preventative maintenance programme as instructed
7. Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant
8. Maintain personal equipment & chemical stock inventories
9. Ensure that service sheets are submitted prior to leaving site
10. Conduct and submit a pre‑work risk assessment prior to every job
11. Conduct all works as instructed via the schedule
12. Follow the method statement at all times
13. Ensure that work is conducted safely in line with the RAMS
14. Ensure records are maintained
15. Comply with site rules, communicating professionally with on‑site contacts and ensuring that work methods and results are explained prior to leaving site
16. Leave the work area clean and tidy
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the below‑defined requirements for the role.
17. Basic air hygiene knowledge
18. Ability to operate and maintain ventilation systems
19. Hold a recognised qualification (not essential)
20. Teamwork skills
21. Client service skills
22. Personal administration skills
23. Analytical and problem‑solving skills
24. Literacy skills including the ability to read manuals
25. Effective verbal and listening communication skills
26. Time management skills
27. Valid UK driving licence
28. Complying with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Policy
29. Complying with the requirements of the Environmental Management System Policy
