Continued investment, new customers, and a strong order book have created the opportunity for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join our skilled engineering team. CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer with a strong background in precision machining to take on a key role in programming, setting, and supporting the manufacture of high-spec components. The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming using CAD/CAM software, and will be expected to play a hands-on role in the setting and optimisation of CNC processes. CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Key Responsibilities: Offline programming of complex 5-axis CNC parts using industry-standard CAD/CAM software Creating programs for precision-machined components used in aerospace, defence, and motorsport applications Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models Selecting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining CNC machine setting and supporting first-off production runs Working closely with machinists and engineering to resolve production issues Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) Requirements: Proven experience as a 5-Axis CNC Programmer within a high-precision engineering environment Strong CAD/CAM programming skills with experience using offline programming software Excellent understanding of precision machining principles, tooling, and materials Ability to set and prove out complex CNC programs on the machine Experience working within sectors such as aerospace, defence, or Formula 1 Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset CNC Programmer (CAD/CAM) What We Offer: £45,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience Overtime available and paid at 1.5x standard rate Stable days-based working hours (MonFri, 7:30am to 4:00pm) A modern, well-equipped workshop with ongoing investment in machinery and software A supportive, experienced engineering team with a strong focus on quality and innovation Opportunity to work on exciting, technically challenging projects
