To provide reception support to the Ilkeston Theatre Suite.
To provide a courteous and efficient reception service.
To work closely with the Waiting List Department to ensure all case notes are present and available for theatre.
To ensure that RTT (referral to treatment) rules are followed and recorded correctly from the clinical input on outcome forms to ensure the trust meets government targets.
Will be expected to maintain data quality and have good computer skills.
An understanding of Health Records Management will be required.
To be flexible in approach to The Ilkeston Theatre Suite reception hours.

Work on own initiative to ensure that the work allocated to the post holder is organised to ensure that all deadlines are met and are agreed. Working practice standards are maintained.
To communicate with the waiting list department and theatre staff regarding cancellations and additions to theatre lists and take action to ensure patient case notes are available.
To ensure all case notes and volumes are correctly tracked on i-Fit.
To answer general telephone enquiries and face to face enquiries within the department.
To admit and discharge patients on Lorenzo.
To provide a courteous and efficient reception service to all patients, adhering to confidentiality and overcoming communication barriers.
Make follow up appointments for post operative theatre patients using the relevant PAS.
Sending physiotherapy referrals generated by the operating consultant.
To generate wrist bands for all patients due to be admitted to the department.
Ensure that the 18 week RTT (referral to treatment) end date is captured on SystemOne and Lorenzo so that the trust meets the Government targets.
To use the OPERA system to refer suitable Ophthalmology patients to community opticians for their pre-procedure check up.
