The Group Retreats Group is a fast-growing hospitality business operating a portfolio of large, exclusive-use properties and hotels across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are building our internal finance team and are looking for an Accountant to join us in a newly created role.
The Opportunity
Working directly with the Director of Finance, this role offers real ownership and exposure across the business. You will take responsibility for core finance activities while helping to improve reporting, processes, and financial control as the business scales.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Producing monthly management accounts
* Managing and supporting a Bookkeeper
* Creating budgets and completing forecasting
* Developing KPIs and financial reporting
* Overseeing reconciliations and financial controls
* Working alongside revenue managers to support performance insight
* Driving improvements in financial processes and efficiency
* Promote financial discipline through accountability and PO oversight
* Develop and track Financial KPIs
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years’ accounting experience
* Proven experience as an Accountant within the hospitality or property management industry
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
* Experience with Xero with relevant qualifications preferred
* Working knowledge of Dext or similar
* Experience in automation and PowerApps preferred
* Hands‑on and comfortable in a small, growing business environment
