Weston & Sampson is hiring an Engineer with our Wastewater Discipline with 0 to 4 years of experience in our Reading, MA office location. The candidate will have experience in evaluation, design, and construction of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems.
What You’ll Do
* Assist project managers with the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
* Visit job sites to perform project tasks including, field tests, data gathering, field inspections, surveying and construction observation.
* Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
* Expected to work on a variety of civil engineering projects at any given time as workload requires but an emphasis will be placed primarily on wastewater system planning, wastewater treatment and industrial wastewater pre-treatment systems and related projects.
* Willing to travel as required
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with wastewater process and treatment emphasis
* Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills
* Proficiency in use of Microsoft excel for data analysis
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Background in hydraulics
* Industrial wastewater treatment or operations experience is a plus
* EIT Certification is a plus
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertake
* Valid driver’s license required
