Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery including a Bodor PT laser Cutting Machine, Press Brakes and Guilotine used in the fabrication and assembly processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Operate and monitor machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
* Perform fabrication tasks using hand tools and various machinery including milling machines.
* Set up and adjust programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for specific production requirements.
* Utilise CAD software to create and modify designs as needed.
* Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
* Handle materials safely, ensuring correct storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Engage in assembly tasks, ensuring all components are accurately fitted together.
* Perform welding tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
* Proficient in fabrication techniques and processes.
* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
* Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD software for design purposes.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
* Competent in using hand tools and understanding tooling requirements for various tasks.
* Capable of materials handling with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
* Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
* Experience in assembly processes, ensuring precision and quality control throughout production phases.
