Pay: £168 – £232 per day

We are seeking an English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Southampton area. This is a long‑term position starting ASAP, offering the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons and support students in developing strong literacy skills and a love for English.
You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to express themselves and achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Encouraging students to develop reading, writing and analytical skills
* Contributing to curriculum planning and development
* Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
* Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
* Creating a positive and well‑managed classroom environment
* Contributing to departmental initiatives and enrichment activities
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
* Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
* Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
* A creative and adaptable teaching approach
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
