We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our social care team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality care, supporting individuals with diverse needs, and mentoring junior staff to ensure excellent service provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personalized support and care to service users, promoting independence and well-being.
* Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
* Lead and mentor a team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care.
* Monitor service users’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting concerns appropriately.
* Assist in risk assessments and implement safeguarding procedures.
* Maintain accurate care records, reports, and documentation.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for service users and staff.
* Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and company policies.
Requirements
* Experience in a support worker role, preferably in a senior or leadership capacity.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and care planning.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and on-call duties if required.
