Company Description:
London Polished Concrete delivers polished concrete and microcement installations across London and the South East — residential and commercial. Our work is specialist, visible, and permanent. When we get it right, clients remember the floor for years. When sequencing, substrate, or conditions are wrong, the job fails. That's why delivery management matters more here than in most trades. We're building the systems and team to scale properly — not just technically, but operationally.
Role Description:
This is a contract-by-contract Project Manager role — you'll be engaged per project, on-site, managing the full delivery cycle from pre-start through to completion and sign-off.
This isn't clipboard project management. You'll be the person who makes sure the site is actually ready before our teams arrive — substrate checked, access confirmed, other trades cleared, environmental conditions within spec. You'll manage the client relationship on-site, coordinate materials and crew scheduling, enforce quality gates, and flag problems before they become disputes.
You'll work closely with the MD and crew leads. Communication is critical — fast, direct, no bureaucracy. You need to be comfortable making calls on site, pushing back on main contractors when conditions aren't right, and owning delivery outcomes.
Based around Kingston Upon Thames, with projects across London and the South East.
What you need:
* Real experience managing specialist subcontractor installations on live sites — not just programming from an office
* Confidence to reject site conditions that will compromise quality (substrate, temperature, airflow, dust, trade sequencing)
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects without losing grip on detail
* Strong client-facing communication — you'll be explaining technical constraints to non-technical people
* Familiarity with QA processes, pre-start checks, and RAMS
* Comfortable working on a per-project basis with a growing business
1.
Nice to have, not essential:
* Experience with polished concrete, screeds, or microcement
* Knowledge of CDM regulations
* Familiarity with SmartSuite or similar work management platforms
