In this role you are offered the opportunity to make a real impact on the Universitys financial governance, strategy, and operational excellence. You will be fully involved in:
* Provide strategic financial leadership across the University, influencing senior management and committees.
* Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high standards across budgets, forecasts, and reports.
* Lead and develop a professional finance team, fostering growth, innovation, and operational excellence during a period of change.
* Manage external audits, pension arrangements, insurance, and financial systems to maintain robust controls.
* Develop financial reporting procedures and input into financial decisions, projects, and capital investments.
To succeed in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive experience in financial management and reporting, including annual statutory reporting and systems development.
