Overview
A friendly and inclusive SEND school in the Bury area is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This full-time role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEN
* Assist in managing routines, learning activities, and transitions
* In the afternoons, support the wider classroom under the guidance of the class teacher
* Help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals
The Ideal Candidate
* Has experience working 1:1 with children with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
* Is calm, patient, and supportive in approach
* Holds a relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 preferred)
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
