Housekeeper
Permanent, Full Time (31.25 hours per week)
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Housekeeper to join our warm and friendly team at Whitgift House. You will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of cleaning duties and deliver a high standard laundry service, ensuring that services meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with statutory and Foundation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain health and safety standards for service users and staff.
* Clean and sanitise washrooms, communal areas, and work rooms.
* Cleaning duties including vacuuming carpets, shampooing, hard floor mopping, dusting, polishing, and sanitising.
* Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing
* Ensure cleaning supplies are used safely and stored correctly
* Report any maintenance or safety issues to management
* Promote a secure, relaxed and homely environment, ensuring the privacy, self-respect, dignity, and wellbeing of each individual.
About You
* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience as well as an understanding of hygiene and infection control standards is preferred, but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail
* Friendly, respectful, and compassionate attitude
