* Cooperate with a remote team of cost managers responsible for reaching an agreed, market-tested cost baseline and ensuring value for money.
* Guide and influence the general contractor, ensuring progress aligns with the schedule and within cash flow parameters.
* Act as the key point of contact to the client, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
* Control costs with knowledge of conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, contingency principles, and procurement principles.
* Create and work within a cost report, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
* Understand change management principles, lead the change management process, and monitor changes.
* Coordinate and lead planning sessions with clients and vendors to develop the master project schedule, agree on baselines, and identify critical paths.
* Understand procurement principles, collate lead times, and communicate prioritization for ordering materials and equipment.
* Work closely with the client to define vendor schedule requirements.
* Participate in risk evaluations, incorporating risks into Monte Carlo simulations for quantitative impacts.
* Keep informed on project changes, communicate these to the team, and facilitate the change approval process.
* Hold vendors accountable for schedule updates, ensuring schedules adhere to processes and quality expectations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in project controls coordination across all project phases, including program, risk, and reporting, with sector-specific experience.
* Ability to determine corrective actions based on data analysis and evaluate information from various sources.
* Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
* Commitment to providing excellent service.
* Reliability and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
* Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and meeting project deadlines.
