Overview
Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst – 32067. The Environment Agency is committed to an inclusive workforce reflecting the communities it serves. This role sits within the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and focuses on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio.
* Set the standards for benefits and value management and help embed them across teams.
* Identify, value and validate project benefits and support decision-making to manage risk in change and transformation.
* Contribute to shaping and optimising project Portfolios to ensure strategic alignment and evidence-based decisions.
* Provide hands-on experience in change and transformation with development opportunities and strong team support.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills; able to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and encourage consideration of diversity in work.
