Description Early Years Assistant – fixed term until 17/02/2027 Calderglen Early Years & Childcare Salary: £25,905 - £26,111 (pro rata for part time and sessional) Hours: 18 per week, 39 weeks (sessional) Calderglen Early Learning & Childcare is a large, busy setting, with capacity for 64 children at any one time, with various patterns of attendance between 8am and 6pm, term time and 52 weeks per year. Our setting has a friendly team who are supportive, energetic and passionate, following a Froebelian approach. We promote curiosity, exploration and challenge through natural, warm and welcoming resources and spaces. The nursery benefits from a rich social and cultural mix of families and its diversity is one of its main strengths. A highly skilled, dynamic and motivated staff team support the children and families. We are now recruiting an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team on a fixed term basis to 17/02/2027. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
