This role is based in our Knutsford or Northampton office.
Purpose of the role
Design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and design solutions that balance technology risks with business delivery, promoting consistency.
Accountabilities
* Designing and developing solutions as adaptable products meeting business requirements, using modern software engineering practices and automation tools
* Applying workload placement strategies to maximize cloud capabilities like elasticity, serverless, and containerization
* Incorporating security principles (defense in depth, reducing blast radius) to meet resiliency standards
* Balancing risks and controls to deliver value
* Using standard solutions where appropriate and contributing to their evolution when necessary
* Supporting operational teams with fault finding and performance issues
* Assessing impact of solutions in terms of risk, capacity, and costs, including ongoing operational costs
* Developing architecture documentation to comply with governance requirements, including design artifacts for architecture, privacy, and security
