They are looking for an enthusiastic and professional People Officer to join their friendly team on a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover). About the Role Reporting to the People Director and working alongside two other People Officers, you'll play a key role in supporting firm-wide Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Wellbeing initiatives. From delivering engaging training and induction sessions to coordinating recruitment events and championing wellbeing across offices, your work will directly shape the development and success of their people. This is a varied, hands-on, and rewarding role - perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, being creative, and making a real impact. Key Responsibilities Support recruitment and careers events, particularly during busy periods. Produce onboarding plans and coordinate induction sessions for new starters. Design and deliver engaging training (both face-to-face and online). Assist Partners and Directors with training design and delivery. Help plan and deliver the Annual Whole Firm Day and other training and wellbeing events. Manage training administration, CPD records, and relationships with training providers. Promote learning opportunities and wellbeing initiatives across the firm. Coordinate 'Training Tuesday' and 'Wellbeing Wednesday' programmes. Oversee the healthcare cashback scheme and Mental Health First Aid training. About You Our client is looking for someone who is: Outgoing, confident, and approachable, with strong emotional awareness. Passionate about learning, wellbeing, and supporting others to grow. Organised and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities. A clear and engaging communicator, both in writing and in person. Creative and resourceful, with strong attention to detail. You will also be: Comfortable delivering training and presentations (in person and online). Proficient in Microsoft Office and Canva. Flexible to travel across South West offices (particularly Exeter and Plymouth). Experience or qualifications in training, coaching, or IT would be a bonus - but more importantly, you'll bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a people-first approach.
