Our client, a well-established civil engineeringpany based on the outskirts of Aberdeen, is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations on a variety of civil engineering and multi-utility projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that work is carried out safely, to high quality standards, on time and within budget, in line withpany standards and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate all on-site activities and subcontractors.
2. Ensurepliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (HSEQ)
3. Oversee project progress and report to senior management
4. Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
5. Manage resources, including labour, materials, and plant.
6. Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, progress reports, and material deliveries.
7. Identify hazards, assess risk and produce relevant RAMS as required
8. Prepare and deliver job instructions and toolbox talks to site team
9. Chair or attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, statutory bodies and stakeholders
10. Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
11. Assist themercial team to ensure that projects under your control are fully measured and valued, promptly and accurately
12. Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve site issues effectively.
13. Assist in tender reviews and the development of project delivery strategies
14. Foster a positive safety culture and upholdpany standards across all operational activities
15. Support, coach and develop site teams, ensuring high levels of performance and morale
16. Monitor staff performance and undertake staff appraisals
Skills & Experience Required:
17. SMSTS accreditation
18. CSCS (Black or Gold)
19. Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects
20. Sound knowledge of construction methods, planning and health and safety regulations
21. Exceptional leadership andmunication skills
22. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
23. Display a positive attitude, strong work ethic and be self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team
24. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages
25. Full UK driving licence
26. Legal right to work in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship available)
27. A technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related field would be beneficial.
