This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual wishing to further develop their knowledge and skills within mental health services for older people.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day provision of evidence based therapeutic activities and have opportunities to work alongside nursing and occupational therapy staff and carers/families.
Based on Windermere Lodge, you will be joining a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team and have an opportunity to contribute to service quality and developments.
If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.

Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team alongside a variety of qualified and support staff as well as developing links with external agencies and community resources to provide high standards of care for services users and support for their families.
Be a confident and effective communicator with service users and carers, staff of all professional groups as well as with external partner agencies.
