Due to growth, we are now recruiting for an accounts assistant to join a family run distribution group based in Dartford. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:-
* All aspects of purchase ledger, batching and coding invoices, checking goods have been received
* Liaising with the supplier to request copy invoices, supplier statement reconciliations
* Gaining authorisation for payment and raising payments on a monthly basis
* All aspects of sales ledger, raising invoices, checking invoices have been received
* Allocating payments
* Chasing outstanding debt by phone and email, requesting proof of return and providing proof of delivery
The ideal person will have a strong background in transactional accounting, with a first rate telephone manner, a can do attitude and the ability to build a rapport with clients and suppliers. Good systems skills and highly organised. This role is office based 5 days a week, plenty of parking on site.
