Job summary
Are you an expert in developing high impact management information systems and providing analytical modelling/insight? If so, HM Land Registry (HMLR) have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance and Business Services (FaBS) Directorate as a Higher Executive Analyst.
In this role you will help establish a strong analytical and modelling function to champion the use of data and drive continuous improvement across HMLR.�
You will be supported by highly engaged leaders, and use your expertise to own the development and delivery of high-quality MI and analytical/modelling insight. This vital work will support senior decision-making and behavioural change across the organisation.�
Job description
Working with the sub-team lead and working closely with colleagues across the group you will build on existing work in the analytical space to make full use of existing and data and develop new ways of extracting and combining data to provide high quality analytical insight.
You will adopt analytical best practice and use your experience of a variety of analytical and modelling techniques to help deliver a strong Quality Assurance (QA) culture, using Power BI to structure and visualise data and to communicate key messages clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
You will be the initial point of contact for analysis/modelling relating to high impact or complex areas of the organisation, proactively gathering information on stakeholder needs to design appropriate analysis. You will oversee projects and manage stakeholder expectations, communicating your analysis with impact to a variety of audiences.
You will also help to develop a highly skilled sub-team to collaborate effectively with colleagues, develop skills and knowledge and share expertise for the benefit of all.

Person specification
To be successful in this role you must have relevant skills, knowledge and application of Operational Research (OR) techniques and/or relevant qualifications to allow �badging� to join GORS (Government Operational Research Service) in an analytical profession.
You will have experience of developing MI reports, analytical insight or modelling. You will be confident in using complex data to build dashboards in Power BI, along with a good knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques.
You will have experience of senior stakeholder engagement, understanding needs and managing expectations, along with demonstrable experience of working under time and resource pressure to produce analytical quality assurance.
A good team working ethos is key to this role, along with effective communication skills enabling you to present analysis with impact.
Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
