The Capital Programmes Division is responsible for delivering approximately £200m per annum of Major and Minor capital construction programmes across the city and strives to continuously improving the effectiveness of its design, project management, and programme delivery. This graduate trainee engineer appointment will support our continued delivery of an excellent professional mechanical engineering service for the Division and its clients. The role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging in size and scale which involve significant capital to the council’s portfolio of buildings/assets which include housing stock, offices, leisure centres, art galleries and other listed buildings, as well as working on new build projects. The diverse portfolio of works will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to be trained in mechanical or electrical design, planning, and the management and delivery of construction projects and programmes and inspecting and reporting of defects.
