Pay: £17.00-£24.00 per hour Job Description: Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic software. Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery. Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times. Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are preferred. A valid driving licence is desirable for off-site repairs or equipment transportation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
