A thriving secondary school in Horley, Surrey, seeks a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join their vibrant Music department. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and skilled Music Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a school that places a high value on the performing arts. ABOUT THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 5 experience (A-Level Music, BTEC Music, or similar) is advantageous, but not essential. You will:
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom that fosters musical creativity and performance.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the Music department and across the school.
* Contribute to and lead extra-curricular music activities (choirs, orchestras, bands, etc.).
* Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians.
* Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and 4.
* Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or voice.
* A genuine passion for music and the ability to inspire students.
* A commitment to student progress.
* A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to the school community.
* A commitment to ongoing professional growth.
* The ideal candidate will be a dedicated Music Teacher.
